They will eventually collect all the characters. My kids also like to make up little games with the characters that come with these toys. They are made of durable plastic so they don't break easily. The characters that come with it a really detailed and cool looking. They like that this one actually has sound effects on the arena. There are little pegs to keep score on top of the arena. You can play together or they have a piece with a punching bag so you can play alone. The little monsters will pop open and pop off so you know who won. It comes with a base and two little monsters you put on a slider were you move and try to knock the other off. So they have to reset it often and get frustrated after a short while. My kids tell me this is a fun toy, but the action figures keep popping completely off the arms that are supposed to move them around. I'm sure they'll get plenty of use out of this throwback styled toy. It's exciting to share with my 10 and 8 year old children son of the toys that I grew up with. I got this off my son so he could experience a new aged rockem sockem robot style game. I cannot tell you how many hours we have barked with this you! My sons love it! They immediately turned the show back on and battled it out while rewatching all of the episodes.
